Getting started on a scooter 

Our Scooter training course has been uniquely designed and targeted at the novice scooter rider who wants to ride their scooter safely on the road and in all traffic conditions. You will be coached and equipped with the skills required to start, stop and control your machine competently. Our instructors will work with you to help you gain confidence with the scooter and build on your skills. 

1 hour session,  $110
For those who can already ride a Scooter
1.5 hour session, $160
For those who can ride a Scooter but are a little rusty 
2 hour session. $220
For those who are new to Scooter riding (extra time may be required)

WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?

To be able to ride a 50cc scooter on the road in NZ you need a minimum of a learner car licence and be able to safely operate the scooter.

If you want to ride a scooter on the road larger than 50cc then you will need a minimum of a 6L (Learner Motorcycle) Licence.

To get your learner licence, you need to do two things, a practical test and a theory test

WHERE ARE THE SCOOTER TRAINING COURSES HELD?

Our Scooter training courses are currently being held at Avondale, Te Atatu and Henderson (if a scooter is needed) or             East Tamaki, Pukekohe (if you have your own scooter)

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ON THE COURSE?

All our Scooter Training courses are one to one, this makes it a relaxed and focused experience. 

IS THE BASIC HANDLING SKILLS TEST INCLUDED?
Yes, if you need a Basic Handling Certificate then it included in the price.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Pricing starts at $110 for 1hr, $160 for 1.5hr and $220 for the 2hr session which includes the use of a scooter, however you are more than welcome to use your own scooter if you have one.

DO I NEED MY OWN HELMET AND GLOVES?

No, we can provide these for you, but you are welcome to bring your own.

 

DO I NEED MY OWN SCOOTER?

No, but you can use your own if you prefer, your scooter must be larger than 50cc to take the Basic Handling Skills Test (Must be LAMS* approved). For more information please visit LAMS
